On Friday, Feb. 7, former Summerville High School standout Carson Shaw’s current college team, the USC Upstate Spartans, won 10-7 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Akron Zips.
The game took place at Cyrill Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Zips this season.
The Upstate Spartans’ next game is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 7 at 3 p.m. at Cyrill Stadium against Bowling Green Falcons.
