Dorchester District Two Schools issued the following announcement on July 14.
Dorchester School District Two has scheduled a School Board Workshop and Public Input Meeting on Monday, July 19th beginning at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in the auditorium at Summerville High School, 1101 Boone Hill Road, Summerville. This meeting will be livestreamed at https://www.ddtwo.org/live.
This meeting will provide information and gather community input for the development of the school district’s spending plan for the federal ESSER III funds. In addition, information will be presented on the draft school re-opening plan for 2021-2022 school year. The public will have the opportunity to provide input and ask questions on this plan.
District staff will present the following information at this meeting:
- Results of the district community survey on use of the ESSER III funding
- Draft proposals for use of the federal funding to address student learning loss and academic needs related to the COVID-19 pandemic
-Draft plans for reopening of school for 2021-2022
