Trident Technical College issued the following announcement on September 1.
Free COVID-19 testing will be available on Thornley Campus in Bldg. 940, Suite D, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 2. No appointment is needed. Online registration is encouraged but not required. Visit bit.ly/COVID19updates for more info.
The saliva-based COVID-19 testing is provided to TTC students, employees and affiliates (people in leased spaces on campus) through a partnership between Trident Tech and the University of South Carolina’s College of Pharmacy.
Test results will be provided within 48 hours after the samples are received by USC’s College of Pharmacy Diagnostic Genomics Laboratory. Test results will be sent to S.C. DHEC as required by the state of South Carolina. Trident Tech will only receive anonymous information on the number of positive cases, not information on individual test results.
