DDTwo celebrates Constitution Week September 17-23 across the district. The DDTwo staff quickly gathered to show off their Red, White & Blue to celebrate Constitution Day today. We invite teachers, families and the community to share fun photos with us of their study or celebration of our Constitution throughout the week.
A little history...
After framing the Constitution, the Constitutional Convention adjourned on September 17, 1787, from Independence Hall in Philadelphia. The 12 states represented had voted unanimously to approve the proposed document, which was sent to Congress and the states for ratification. Presidential proclamation sets aside September 17 (Citizenship/Constitution Day) and September 17-23 (Constitution Week) for observance each year.
