Dorchester County Public Library: Black Poetry Day!

Dorchester County Public Library issued the following announcement on October 17.

It's Black Poetry Day! Today we celebrate past and present black poets. The first published black poet in the United States, Jupiter Hammon, was also born on this day in 1711!*
