The community is invited to a new series at the Summerville Museum called FREEDOM THROUGH EDUCATION
Presented by Robert Scarlett.
"The Stono Rebellion, Denmark Vesey and the End of Local Black Education” will be the first lecture in the series at 3:00 pm August 13.
This will be presented free of charge, but if you're interested please call 843-875-9666 to register in advance or email historicsdmuseum@gmail.com.
The series is open to the public and will be held in the museum's meeting room. Seating is limited to approximately 40 to 45 people.
